Project Summary:

The primary objective of the TE-RRP was to restore the terrestrial habitat of the desert environment in northern KSA. Restoration work remediated and restored physical and biological conditions that eventually provided improved habitat for many species of flora and fauna.

The work consisted primarily of leveling various earthen berms or backfilling and leveling various trenched, called disturbances, constructed by military troops in 1991. These disturbances are located within an area of about 837 square kilometers; shown on 335 drawings. Some of these disturbances have weathered appreciably and some have not. The earthen berms, disturbances, are to be leveled or trenches to be backfilled to correspond with the general topography of the surrounding desert.
